January marks the birthday month of Ploughman Poet Robert Burns and we will taste the expressions from Lochlea Distilleries that celebrate the bounty of the harvest.
The land at Lochlea is important, and not just to the distinctive taste of the whisky. This was the land that Robert Burns tended when he lived at Lochlea, inspiring his thinking and development as a poet. Burns toiled the same soil that we are privileged to grow our malting barley in today.

Lochlea Our Barley - Our award winning core single malt expression, Our Barley sits alongside our seasonal limited-edition whiskies. It is made from and inspired by our barley, grown here on Lochlea Farm & aged in first-fill Bourbon, Oloroso Sherry and STR casks. $ 69.99 a bottle
Sowing Edition - Matured in 100% ex-Bourbon barrels, this limited-edition release is inspired by the season of spring on the farm, when the seed is sown for the year’s barley crop.We have carefully selected casks that have been further maturing higher up in the warehouse than 2022, to give this whisky its lively fresh flavour profile. $ 74.99 a bottle
Ploughing Edition -<span style="background-color:transparent">Matured in 100% ex-Islay 200 litre barrels, this dram is fruity and sweet, with a little kick of peat. </span>The icy blue label reflects the season of winter on the farm, when we plough the fields in preparation for sowing the barley seed in Spring. $ 69.99 a bottle
Cask Strength - Older, bolder and completely undiluted, 60% ABV and is non-chill filtered with no added colouring. Matured in a combination of PX, Oloroso and STR casks, Cask Strength Batch 2 showcases a complexity greater than the sum of its parts. $ 94.99 a bottle
